Enchanting Paris

Barging through the picturesque canals of Burgundy was the most pleasant way one could travel. The daily gourmet meals and half day excursions provided the perfect blend of history and leisure. It was very difficult to return to reality after life onboard the Belle Epoch, and our memories of drifting softly down the canal with a glass of wine will last forever.

Paris was fabulous, really enjoyed seeing some places we wouldn’t have normally thought to go to, such as the Musee Jacquemart Andre (amazing) and having High Tea at the Ritz (unforgettable!). Following this with the gorgeous barge cruise on the Belle Epoque was for me the perfect holiday. The crew, led by Captain Nick and assisted by wonderful James, were exceptional and overlooked nothing. Marie’s meals were beautiful and just the right size – we didn’t go away feeling like we had eaten too much, but we had experienced fantastic cuisine and wines.

We have been to Paris a number of times, but never experienced it like this! Kate’s extraordinary knowledge gave us an insight that has increased our love of the place even more. The special restaurants chosen were fantastic and the historic walks absolutely memorable.
