Spectacular South West and Barging Through Burgundy

The special day we had in the village restaurant was unforgettable – and we couldn’t stop thinking how lucky we were because no other tourists know about it! We also loved the perched villages we visited and the boat trip on the Dordogne river was a highlight. Your accommodation was really well chosen and added so much to the trip.

Sarlat made our jaws drop – we have never experienced anything like it. Nearly every night we found a new restaurant tucked away somewhere and we ate so well everywhere. Then wandering about the town afterwards with the buildings lit up was remarkable. We felt so lucky just to be there.

I loved Bordeaux and the wines – but also the countryside and the history was really a beautiful surprise. St Emilion was wonderful and the hotel stunning. Then to go onto the Dordogne – I think it was the most beautiful part of France I have ever visited and I loved the whole history of the Hundred Years War. Rocamadour was a huge highlight for me as I have always wanted to see it and it did not disappoint.

I thought the visit to Oradour-sur-Glane was amazing. It left me feeling so moved and sad that the French experienced such tragedies during the war.

Take me back to the Belle Epoque! We loved it – food, wine, excursions, crew – all perfect.
